Before class:
Required
- Read Rob Walker’s (1993) chapter, “Finding a silent voice for the researcher: Using photographs in evaluation and research.”
- While reading, reflect on your own uses of photography in everyday life, and how those uses are connected, or not, to your use of language. Annotate the document as you read in a way that will help you remember the thoughts and impressions you have; we will be revisiting this text on Day 14 when we talk about captioning.
